Kinkaya hosts specialist paediatricians on-site in Innaloo, working alongside our GP and urgent care teams to give families:

Our specialist paediatricians currently cover two key areas: paediatric gastroenterology & general paediatrics, and paediatric respiratory medicine.

Dr Amit Saha
General Paediatrician & Paediatric Gastroenterologist
Dr Saha helps children with digestive, liver and feeding conditions get back to growing, playing and feeling their best. He sees infants through to teens, with a particular focus on gut health, growth and nutrition.
Areas of expertise include:
- Chronic constipation & recurrent abdominal pain
- Failure to thrive and infant feeding issues
- Reflux, regurgitation and cow’s milk protein allergy
- Suspected coeliac disease and chronic diarrhoea
- Swallowing difficulties and suspected eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE)
- Gastrointestinal bleeding
Suspected Crohn’s disease or colitis - Liver problems and abnormal liver function tests
- Paediatric gastroscopy and colonoscopy

Dr David Hancock
Paediatric Respiratory Physician (aka the Children's Lung Doctor)
Dr Hancock helps kids’ lungs work at their best so they can get back to the playground. He is Head of the Advancing Innovation in Respiratory (AIR) Health team at The Kids Research Institute Australia, a Paediatric Respiratory Physician at Perth Children’s Hospital, and Clinical Lead of the Respiratory Clinical Trials Group, with investigator experience across 23 Phase I–IV respiratory trials.
Areas of expertise include:
- Viral induced wheeze
- Asthma
- Chronic cough and chronic wet cough
- Recurrent respiratory infections
- Protracted bacterial bronchitis (PBB)
He provides timely specialist assessment and management of childhood respiratory conditions — supporting urgent needs and complementing your child’s ongoing GP care. There is currently no waitlist.

Kinkaya can help arrange one through our GP service

Paediatrician FAQs
Do I need a referral to see a paediatric specialist at Kinkaya?
Yes — referrals are required for both Dr Saha and Dr Hancock. These can come from your regular GP, another specialist, or be arranged through Kinkaya’s own GP service.
Which specialist should my child see?
If your concerns are digestive, feeding, growth or liver-related, Dr Saha is the right fit. If it’s a breathing, cough, wheeze or asthma-related concern, Dr Hancock is the specialist to see. Your GP can also help guide the referral.
Can I still use Kinkaya's GP or Urgent Care while under a specialist's care?
Yes — our specialists work alongside Kinkaya’s GP and Urgent Care teams, so your child’s care stays connected.
