Being a mum myself, I have a genuine passion for the wellbeing of children and their caregivers.
Emily is often one of the first faces families see. With a background in medical reception and six years working in radiology, she brings both experience and a calm, reassuring presence to the clinic.
From welcoming patients and their families to managing incoming calls and emails, Emily helps keep the practice running smoothly while supporting the clinical team behind the scenes.
“We make sure all our patients are comfortable and that everything runs as efficiently as possible,” she says.
Emily has seen a wide variety of presentations recently, including sporting injuries, respiratory illnesses, ear infections, animal bites and cuts requiring repair.
What drew her to paediatrics was something personal.
“Being a mum myself, I have a genuine passion for the wellbeing of children and their caregivers.”
She says there is something particularly rewarding about helping make healthcare experiences less daunting for young patients.
“I love that I can make a difference in our little patients’ experiences.”
“We have a funky kids’ corner that accommodates all ages and various sensory needs.”
It’s part of a broader commitment to creating a welcoming environment where children feel comfortable and families feel understood.
And while many people know Kinkaya for its child-friendly spaces and caring team, Emily believes there’s something important parents should know.
“Nothing is too little. We are here for all of the family when you need peace of mind.”
Whether she’s greeting families at reception or helping keep the clinic running behind the scenes, Emily plays an important role in making sure every visit to Kinkaya starts with a friendly face and ends with families feeling supported.
Thank you. Emily.
